Homeless Spider
Spider after the Rain
The spider spun his web
“Have you lost your home again?” I asked.
He was oblivious of me.
He kept on spinning while I watched.
After a few minutes, I understood.
The whole wide world was his.
He was never lost. Never lost.
Home was wherever he went.
Wherever he went was home.
The spider was at home with himself.
His home was right inside of him.
In his littleness, he had put humanity to shame.
